Sweat
Is sweat enough? Can we clean our bodies with just sweat? If I sweat enough I figure I can burn off any toxins that have accumulated inside

DAY #7 WEEK #3
This will be my final entry of this sort... I am freeing myself up to make choices keeping in mind the benefits of the disciplined practice of saucha.... I feel great today even though i was super naughty yesterday... I think 3 weeks was just long enough to not interfere too bad with life and still get a great foundation practice under my belt... I am going to stick to the blue print but when there are those opportunities to try a friends recipe or experience life new and differently through food I will leave those choices up to the wisdom i found from this practice.

DAY #7 WEEK #2
I love having the house all to my self some days for long periods of time... I played Talking Heads, Stevie Wonder and The album leaf while hooping, practicing yoga and just observing the clouds change color as the sun sets... I slept great last night and had a dream about a farm, there were many trees, chickens, horses and a bison that started to trample me and my boyfriend shouted to me to crouch down so I did and it stopped, luckily the landlord of the land said that he should be over there and so we took him back to the neighbors... again many of this is total fiction but the characters and the fact I do live on an orchard all are familiar symbols in the dream.
This morning awoke and began hooping again, made my lunch so I'm set for a long day of work and left early for work to take an extra long bike cruise through town before standing all day. Oh Happy Monday... doesn't really feel like a Monday when I don't have a weekend... ;-)

Cleanse on consuming
I notice sometimes that when I work a bunch and forget to make my lunch or don't have enough food for the day... I don't sway in my eating goals but I might purchase things that aren't that necessary as my food for the day. It makes me reflect on what else is like food for us and our souls????
So today I am practicing mantra as my teacher, John Friend has said food isn't the only food mantra can be your food or comfort you might need in the moment."
Wow.... random thought what if one was to blog everything they spend in a week or a month ouch!!!
Day #6 WEEK #2
I think not having not having a day off for 2 weeks has caught up to me... I went to bed early and slept in as late as I could. I still felt great after I started moving. This could just be over work cause I am receiving compliments on my skin and I again feel more toned and I haven't really increased my activity. I have been hoola hoopin a little more than usual just cause its so fun and am feeling soar in my mid-area so I feel like I have to keep it up to move the little abdominal muscles that I don't think I have felt before.
One thing I noticed is that I get a zit/pimple the day after I drink a beer....hmmmm???

A month of cleansing is very difficult when the Red Wings are playing and there are so many of my friends with B-Day Parties. Regardless, I am very inspired today cuz of the movie HOME....

DAY #3 WEEK #2
Vivid dreams are back... they are not the most pleasant dreams almost like all my worries and hidden insecurities get revealed in my dreams. Luckily I don't freak out too bad I used to have really bad ones when I was younger and had a long history of bug and animals dreams. These dreams at least contain familiar characters and possibilities that I just never hope come to fruition. My first thought when I wake up though is usually... I just want the dream to be over so I wake up more alive just cause I don't want to lie back down for the alternative. My body feels amazing and I don't feel like I'm serving this blog if I don't add a little health awareness, so stop ready if you don't want the TMI: my bowels are finally solid again and that is still without any grains but I am getting fiber from the fruits & veggies It's just interesting that it took a week and a half of soft bowels for my body to bring it all back together.

My meditations sink a little deeper and I am started to understand what books and teachers have told me that you "cleanse for the delight." I don't miss the extra TV at all in fact I have been enjoying reading, spending more time outside, hoola hooping and listening to my old school canadian band CD's like James, The Tea Party and The Tragically Hip. I made hazel nut milk today and so far it's the best nut milk ever, it will be even better once it has chilled a bit. YUM!

Last day of this first week... I didn't have as vivid of dreams the night after I drank the wine and didn't noticed any adverse reactions to the raw cheese. But still those are treats and I enjoy treating them that way. Today for whatever reason I feel groovy, opportunities are flowing my way and I had a smooth morning especially since I made mine and my boyfriends lunches last night so I just grabbed a ball some oolong tea and off to work. WORD OF THE DAY: REFRESH
Rules of the Cleanse... Week #2
I have decided to adjust the cleanse... I feel so great on it that I'm pretty sure most of it will stay the same, I believe could eat like this with a once a week treat here and there especially to allow for eating out for the rest of my life.
Once a week treats: raw cheese from local farmers market, other lean meats to change it up, a local brew and /or eating out or eating other peoples gourmet when invited to come over.
This may be a sustainable practice... the test would be to see if I can go a week or a few days all raw or on just juice to really cleanse without going back to my comfort food patterns.

DAY #4 WEEK #1
This morning wasn't as cheery as yesterday although I had a colorful dream that I remembered. My body feels pretty good but I'm going to use the 10min rule to see if more of a gentle practice is what I need today (maybe it's hormonal). In addition to practice I'm planning on sewing, making more nut milk & cleaning the house. It feels natural to clean when cleansing.
